Gary Rees Excellent offering of smart, upbeat tracks, lovingly produced. Very capable songcraft here with lovely chord progressions and memorable melody lines. An effective mixture of contemporaty electronic sounds and more traditional song form. Recommended for its excellent production and melodies.

Tichounko You've been lost in a Deep Forest with your buddies Thomas Newman and Mike Oldfield and when you're finally found, you're missing the woods already. Ever changing music with hypnotic ostinatos and arpeggios. Don't judge an album by its cover they say, but they're wrong. This music gives positive vibes from beginning to end (where the short addition is fun and I like it). Favorite track: Suddenly Set Free.

about

Reviews: Actual things people have said...

"i am pretty sure i have [listened to the album] before, but honestly can't remember."

"It's hard to pinpoint his influences. His production is sophisticated and light, which is refreshing when everyone makes kind of maximal productions. Jealous of his guitar playing, but not showy either. "

"If you ask me I like From the Forest much more than The Eraser or Atoms for Peace 🤷‍♂️"
